Justice Sotomayor?—More for some, less for others? - Richard Land

President Obama, while a presidential candidate, gave a very important speech (March 18, 2008) on race in America. In that speech he said that

“Most working- and middle-class white Americans don’t feel that they have been particularly privileged by their race…So when they…hear that an African-American is getting an advantage in landing a good job or a spot in a good college because of an injustice that they themselves never committed…resentment builds over time.”

Those were brave and important words for then-Senator Obama to say. However, through close observation and experience I have learned to pay more attention to what President Obama does than to what he says…
